As Thanksgiving is upon us all this month and we make plans to spend time with those we each care for, there has been a tradition known as "counting the things we are thankful for." So from VBC:

Veterans Day

Originally known as Armistice Day to mark the cessation of all hostilities related to World War I on the "eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month of 1918," America has officially celebrated Veterans Day since June 1, 1954 nearly nine years after WWII veteran Raymond Weeks of Alabama first pressed for the inclusion of all veterans.
