Toy & Food Run and Christmas Parade (Clinton)

Join us as we welcome the Christmas Season with a Christmas Parade begining at Howard’s Antiques and ending at the pavilion at the city park just south of KHPQ.  Activities will include a light lunch and Christmas gifts for youth 12 and under.

Donation Drop-off points: Clinton Chamber of Commerce, VBC County Clerk's Office, or Ralph Tester Veterinary Clinic.

Behold the Lamb (Nov 28th-Dec 2nd)

Live Nativity scene Behold the Lamb has returned for nightly showings of 6:00 and 7:00 running November 28th through December 2nd. 

Behold the Lamb will be held at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds.

Luminaries Begin Shining

The Ozark Health Foundation will once again be lighting up the holiday season by placing Luminaries along the Hospital and Nursing Center entrances. 

These Luminaries can be dedicated for $10 In Honor or In Memory of the loved one of your choice. 

Their names will be included in the Van Buren County Democrat and Fairfield Bay News during the holiday season.

Festival of Trees @ the Bay (Dec 1st-15th)

The Christmas season in the Bay is a winter spectacular with their annual holiday celebration Festival of Trees event, Monday, December 1st — December 15th, 2017. Fairfield Bay’s Conference and Visitor Center is transformed into a wonderland of holiday elegance and whimsy to suit any age, family or individual.

“Fairfield Bay community organizations, businesses, and families have joined together to create this holiday festival,” said Heather Dunn, Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce Director. “We’ve got all the twinkling lights, sounds and smells of this blessed season that you could need to get in the spirit and ready for some truly happy holidays.”

Trees, Trees, and More Trees
Explore this special forest of trees and leave inspired and ready for the season. Each Christmas tree is decorated from its starry tip top to its blanketed base. No two are alike and range from whimsical to traditional, from kid to pet-friendly! Vote for your favorite. And while you’re there, look for the donation box to help local families in need with your food bank donation.

To enter a tree is free!  The trees may stay up thru out the whole month of December on into the New Year. Great way to advertise your business or just simply show your Christmas spirit!

Light up the Bay

Fairfield Bay “Light up the Bay” is December 1st, from 5:30 to 9:30 at the Conference Center.

There will be live music, food, your favorite holiday drinks, silent auction, the lighting of the Christmas trees, and the BIG TRIP GIVEAWAY!!! The ticket booth will be set up for you to enter to WIN!

$8.00 dinner with a portion of the funds raised will go to help the needy in our area.

Van Buren County Fair Christmas Pageant

The pageant is open to anyone who wishes to enter regardless of residency, gender or age. 

There is also a category called the Generation Gap which relatives of any combination can enter along with the regular category that is entered. 

Crowd favorite winners raise money to be placed in the County Fair Scholarship fund which the Fair distributes to senior students within the County that have participated in the Fair during their youth. 

The pageant will be held in the GW Building at the Fairgrounds.  Christmas colors are encouraged in entering.
