Corporal C.G. Bolden, Welcome Home

In 1950, at the age of 23, C.G. Bolden left his wife, three year old son, and home in Clinton to fight as a Corporal in the Korean War as part of Company C, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Division. He was taken prisoner in South Korea on January 5, 1951. His family was notified that he was M.I.A. (missing in action). On April 30th, 1951, Cpl. Bolden died of starvation while a P.O.W. (prisoner of war) in the Suan Bean Valley transitional camp.
